EUSA is a democratic student-led organisation with 32,000 members and has a governance structure designed to ensure that the views of our members are heard and represented effectively.
Each year members elect 4 full time Sabbatical Officers and dozens of student representatives to lead the Students’ Association and represent their interests to the University and beyond.
The elected student leadership works closely with EUSA’s staff to ensure the continued development of our services and activities and to deliver our vision and strategic objectives.
The 4 Sabbatical Officers (serving 1 year) sit on a Trustee Board of up to 12 members. The Trustee Board is made up of:
As a registered charity EUSA has a Trustee Board that has overall has overall responsibility for the strategic direction, financial stability and legal observance of the organisation. The Chief Executive reports to the Trustee Board. The responsibility for the management and administration of EUSA is delegated to the Chief Executive and the staff team. The board meets around 6 times per year.
