Thank you for your interest in Hull University Union and our Chief Executive role.

We have made real strides in recent years, developing strong relationships with the University, benefiting from the raised profile of UK City of Culture and delivering success across a range of our services. We are excited for the future and the impact that our new Chief Executive can have in helping us shape our strategic direction and delivering high quality services which meet the needs of our members.

With a strategy in place through to 2020, we are developing our plans to meet our students’ evolving needs. Our new Chief Executive will help shape and lead this journey. We have many of the right ingredients to reach our goals; a well established and ambitious university with a supportive Vice Chancellor, a city more visible to students as a place to study, capable teams, passionate students who love being here, an experienced and supportive Board and a campus undergoing a £200m investment, including £4.8m in our building.

We have a strong commercial offer, a great range of student opportunities and support services, all of which are a vital contribution to a compelling, immersive and rewarding student experience. Our work with the University on academic representation will help support the continual pursuit of academic excellence. While independent of each other we work as close partners to provide a compelling offer to students who are making high value decisions on their education.  We want to continue to develop our services – commercial and membership based to ensure it’s relevant, efficient and of high quality.

We engage our members at every opportunity to ensure we create new opportunities and represent their views across the campus, locally and nationally.  Our members have high expectations of us and their university and we need to remain responsive to their needs, be a critical friend at times, be sustainable and astutely invest our resources to provide the best student experience.

If you want to help lead and manage a stable yet progressive, well supported and governed member-led charity that is democratic, delivers diverse services and has a real impact on individuals, then read more about who we are, what we do and how you can make a difference.

We hope you find the information on this site useful, exciting and interesting.  If you can share our desire to keep moving forward, we look forward to hearing more from you.

Thank you for your interest.
